Most people don't even know there is a full mixer inside melodyne that you can add VST's, EQ, Pan, volume just like any other DAW. Note analysis alone fixes most of the trash people talk on GS probably 90% of the time.
With how important pitch correction is these days they should be selling millions of copies. It is super boring but amazingly detailed. It deals with every complaint I hear on GS and then some. I've said this before, anybody who buys Melodyne should buy the Ask Video tutorial. The human voice probably will be much tougher. The example they used in the Ask Video Tutorial was superimosing the pitch of a vocal on to a bongo (percussion) track which was actaully pretty cool. I'm not sure how well it works on vocals though. I'll have to look back into it but you can superimpose pitch from one track to another but I'll have to look into superimposing timing.not sure.
